LAKE GUARD®️ OXY

Lake Guard®️ OXY has a unique mode of action, triggering oxidative stress in directly-affected cyanobacterial populations and then prompting an auto-catalytic cell-death cascade among neighboring populations. Lake Guard®️ OXY is provided in granular form. Its active ingredient, Sodium Percarbonate releases hydrogen peroxide (a chemical that has long been used safely as an algicide) when it comes into contact with water. This clean process breaks down simply into water and oxygen, causing no harm to the environment. Lake Guard®️ OXY’s special biodegradable coat enables the product to float on the surface of the water, traveling to the affected location where it releases its active ingredient.

LAKE GUARD®️ BLUE

The active ingredient in Lake Guard®️ Blue is Copper sulfate which has long been used around the world as a safe and effective algaecide. Lake Guard®️ Blue’s mode of action is similar to that of Lake Guard®️ Oxy in that it causes oxidative stress and major damage to algae and cyanobacteria populations – in this case, by interrupting their photosynthetic activity or by binding to their cellular enzymes.

Lake Guard®️ Blue’s special biodegradable coat enables the product to float on the surface of the water, traveling to the affected location where it releases its active ingredient.

LAKE GUARD®️ DEW

The active ingredient in Lake Guard®️ DEW is aluminum sulfate which has long been used as a safe and effective water treatment. Lake Guard®️ DEW is encapsulated in a thin, inert, biodegradable coat allowing it to spread through the water where it acts as a coagulant, causing particles to clump together into clusters for easy removal. In this way, Lake Guard®️ DEW rapidly and dramatically improves water clarity.
